Hello! This is my story.

I have 35 years of experience supporting people with Intellectual Disability, Neurodiverse conditions and Autism. Working with all age groups – from early childhood, primary, high-school, TAFE and university – I’ve been a TAFE vocational educator (Teacher Consultant) for 27 years and now specialise in helping people with autism transition into employment or higher education.

My educational background consists of 5 degrees, including a MA in Education, a Diploma in Counselling and my recent endeavour of beginning a PhD in Autism.

I founded Autism STEP Australia knowing that I had the experience and education to provide the best autism mentoring and workshops for those in my care.  As a community and private consultant, I’m the Contact Consultant for ADaC, NDCO and private clients. I have also presented in conferences alongside many of the top names in the industry, such as Dr Temple Grandin, APAC, Pathways, ASPECTS Australia, Psych DD, Continuing the Conversation and more.

All of this is in the aim of providing strategies and develop independence and self-empowerment for those with autism. Working with communities or working with individuals, every single step to spread autism awareness is important progress for a future where people with autism are provided equal opportunities for self-empowerment and respect.
